However, he is interrupted by his master, Bachiko, who arrives to congratulate him on the prize. She encourages and tells him to try his best, regardless of the outcome. He then goes to get permission from his grandpa before leaving.
The chapter returns to the present with Mephisto bringing him to the Wildlands for the exam. Iruma asks about the tents and the people who live in it. Mephisto explains that the tents are Migrant tents for the Many Ears race, an endangered species in the netherworld. He advises Iruma to keep his eyes peeled as he is no longer at school.
