On Thursday, June 20, 2024, the Tonari no Young Jump website’s editorial department announced through a blog post that the One-Punch Man manga is going on a two-month break due to popular Mangaka Yusuke Murata “adjustments and preparations.”
Yūsuke Murata teamed up with ONE in 2012 and launched the popular manga on Shueisha’s free “Tonari no Young Jump” website. It is a remake of the original manga created by ONE in 2009. Since then, the series has garnered fans’ attention, releasing two successful anime seasons.
The first season aired in Japan from October to December 2015, while the second season aired from April to July 2019. However, the third season has yet to be released, and there is no news on the release date. Reportedly, the manga has also inspired a live-action adaptation.
One-Punch Man manga chapter release date: When will chapter 202 come out?
As mentioned earlier, the One-Punch Man manga is going on a two-month break. The hiatus began on Thursday, June 20, following the release of the redrawn chapter 201. The manga is expected to return on Thursday, August 22.
Furthermore, Yusuke apologized to the readers for the long wait but announced that the manga would return with a bang. The editorial department followed up on the announcement by revealing the release date for Volume 31: July 4, 2024.
Fans may recall that previously, the manga announced that it would be redrawing the entire Ninja Arc. While the news initially caught everyone off-guard, fans supported their decision and appreciated the gesture. However, with the release of chapter 201 yesterday, the series has caught up to the original one, which is a reason to celebrate. The next chapter will most likely see a rematch between Blast and Empty Void.
