Following Kei’s miraculous recovery in the previous episode, Oblivion Battery episode 10 will see the team play their practice match against Hikawa High School. The episode will also explain Chihaya’s connection and concerns with the school.
Oblivion Battery episode 9 recap
The episode starts with a flashback to a conversation between Kaname and Kiyomine. The episode returns to the present and shows the team focused on training now that they have a new center field. Kazuki then asks how everything would be if Kei got his memory back.
However, the team struggles to imagine Kei returning to being the commander. Despite that, Todo and Chihaya try to get him to remember. Todo tries hitting him on the head, while Chihaya tries music therapy, but both fail. Kazuki then indulges in hypnosis and explains the benefits.
They agree to try it out and are shocked that Kei falls asleep during the treatment. The next day, Todo and Chihaya are surprised to see Kei clearing the field, and they try to check if he is okay. He then reveals that his memory has returned and tells them to set their sights on the Koshien competition.
Then, the episode sees Kei deciding to focus on the less experienced players’ training, which yields significant results. He fixes a practice match with a top-tier school and tells everyone to prepare for it. The episode ends with Kei catching one of Kiyomine’s fierce pitches, which stuns the entire team.
