The New Gate episode 5 recap
The episode starts with Riona’s knight telling her that the blade may belong to the blacksmith. Riona is excited to see a high human and plans to challenge him, as she believes he would make a fine spouse. Elsewhere, Wilhelm demands Shin reveal his secret, believing Schnee would never follow anyone. Shin then reveals that he is a high human and Schnee’s master.
The two continue their discussion, and Wilhelm tells him that some people still worship High Humans as gods. However, their discussion is cut short by Laccia, who wakes up from her sleep. Shin gives Wilhelm an envelope, telling him to send a message if things with the orphanage go south. Though initially reluctant, he accepts, and he and Laccia leave them behind. Shin and Schnee arrive at the moon sanctum. Schnee then reveals Shin is the owner of the shop, stunning Tiera.
They have a party to celebrate their return, after which Shin goes to bed. The next day, he finds Yuzuha in human form on his bed and immediately clothes her. They go down for breakfast, and Schnee tells Shin to meet Geralt, his former companion, who is now the beast king. Shin agrees but heads down to his forge to make some weapons to sell first. The episode ends with Tiera calling him to follow her into the city.
