Oblivion Battery episode 5 recap
The episode starts with Kokuto trying to convince Kiyomine and Kei to transfer to Teitoku so they can attend Koshien. They are then approached by Teitoku’s coach, who tries to scout the four of them and even promises to fix Kei’s slump. On the way back, Kei tries to take responsibility by apologizing for the loss, but Todo tells him not to. Kiyomine hits him on the head and calls him names for not catching the ball.
Elsewhere, Kei practices catching again with Yamada at the arcade since he feels bad for being unable to send Chihaya and Todo to Teitoku. Chihaya and Todo arrive and tease him for doing secret training before helping him out. The next day, Kiyomine and Kei do not speak to each other, leaving Kei to hang out with Todo and Chihaya.
They meet up for practice, but Kei still has problems catching. He starts to feel bad and tells everyone he plans to get Kiyomine to join Teitoku, but they laugh him off. They tell him Kiyomine won’t do it as he considers Kei his only batterymate. Kiyomine arrives and pitches a short ball to Kei, which he catches.
