Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 episode 17, “My Older Brother’s Feelings,” begins with Rudeus rushing towards Norn’s classroom while Linia and Pursena follow him. Upon reaching the classroom, he asks Norn’s bully to come forward.
However, to his surprise, he learns that nobody bullied her. Norn became a shut-in primarily because everyone compared her to Rudeus, making her feel inept.
Hence, reflecting on his previous life, Rudeus decides to help his sister escape her shell. He decides he will not let her become a shut-in like he had been. As such, with Linia, Pursena, Sylphiette, and Princess Ariel’s help, Rudeus enters the girls’ dorm, hoping to convince Norn to live a normal life.
When he reaches her room, the episode sheds light on Norn’s perspective. Viewers learn that, as Rudeus had expected, Norn felt inferior while simultaneously fighting her prejudice against Rudeus. She thought about Paul and Ruijerd, who explained that her brother was not who she thought he was. He was, in fact, much better.
