Earlier today, Netflix released a new trailer for their highly anticipated Baki Hanma vs. Kengan Ashura crossover anime collaboration. The trailer revealed the theme songs, staff, and fights that will take place in the anime.

The Baki Hanma anime is based on Keisuke Itagaki’s Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre manga and was released in 2021. It was the third Baki series to be released and a follow-up to the Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen series. Meanwhile, Yabako Sandrovich’s Kengan Ashura anime debuted in 2019 and had two very successful seasons.

The Baki Hanma vs. Kengan Ashura Crossover Anime will be a part of the 2024 summer lineup. The anime is set to be released on Netflix on June 6. Reportedly, Atarashii Gakkō! will perform the opening song “Fly High” while Lead performs the ending “Don’t Stay.”
Additionally, the anime will feature returning cast members from both franchises. The trailer also revealed the matches taking place in the anime. This includes Paing Yoroizuka vs. Kaoru Hanayama, Raian Kure vs. Jack Hammer, and Baki Hanma vs. Ohma Tokita.
As for staff, Baki director Toshiki Hirano is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment. He will be joined by Atsuo Ishino, who will handle the scripts, while Makoto Takahoko and Shingo Ishikawa will handle the character design. Kenji Fujisawa will compose the music for the crossover, alongside composer Yasuharu Takanashi.
Netflix will stream the anime and describe it as: “These two martial arts manga masterpieces finally cross paths! An unbelievable collaboration between the anime series “Baki Hanma” and “KENGAN ASHURA,” both of which are now streaming only on Netflix, is brought to life in anime! This hard-hitting crossover that could only happen on Netflix is sure to shake the world.”
