Mission: Yozakura Family episode 3 recap
The episode begins with Taiyo having a nightmare in which Mutsumi is captured, and he is helpless to stop it. He wakes up and decides to ask Futaba to train him so he can protect her. She accepts on the condition that he must survive in the house for a month, and he agrees.
The next day, he is greeted by an exploding alarm clock, multiple trap doors, lasers, and poison-laced food. However, his most grueling opponent was the lock on the toilet door, which had to be cracked every time like a safe. All this while wearing a shirt weighing 30 kg.
After noticing how much he was trying, Mutsumi talked to him, telling him to relax and reminding him that he had always protected her. Taiyo seems to have adjusted to life in the mansion three weeks later, but the toilet remains his biggest obstacle.
After drinking some poisoned milk, he runs to the bathroom but faints before he can unlock it. He wakes up in the infirmary and is scolded by Futaba, who reveals all the injuries he has been hiding. She tells him that he can’t protect anyone if he can’t protect yourself. Before leaving, she gives him a book on safe cracking. Later, Taiyo is able to unlock the bathroom door successfully and is recognized as a full-fledged member of the family.
