Oshi no Ko chapter 146 recap: Kana and Aqua bond over Kana’s ‘secret snack’
Oshi no Ko chapter 146, “Role,” begins with the continuation of the movie 15 Year Lie. The movie continues with Cut 139, where Hikaru and Airi break up. However, Airi yells that Hikaru will return to her because only she can love someone as “hopelessly empty” as him.
Hikaru asks Ai if she will abandon him, only for Ai to respond that she is unsure about it. Later, Hikaru confesses to Seijuro Uehara that he was seeing his wife, Airi. After this revelation, a couple of scenes follow, ultimately leading to Seijuro murdering his wife and then killing himself.
After filming the movie’s Cut 202, Aqua meets Kana backstage when the latter walks in on him, remarking that he looks sad. Kana inquires if it is because of his role that Aqua is feeling gloomy. Aqua confirms her suspicion and replies that he wishes to die.
However, Kana displays her frustration with Aqua’s death wish, commenting that she would beat his corpse if he ever died. Moreover, she makes Aqua promise never to say anything like that again. To lift Aqua’s mood, she reveals her “secret snack” to him, making him promise not to tell Ruby about it.
Her secret snack is sushi na ko powder sprinkled on pizza chips, which enhances the chips’ taste. Though Aqua remains hesitant about trying Kana’s snack, he gives it a try. To his surprise, the snacks are delightful.
Aqua leaves the room after expressing that he always has fun when Kana is around. This confuses Kana while also flustering her because she speculates if he hinted at a romantic development when he made that remark. However, she quickly admits that she also has fun around him before reminding herself that he is a pervert for kissing Ruby.
The chapter shifts focus to Ruby, who is praying at a shrine. Soon, it starts to drizzle, and she rushes to hide under a roof. There, she suddenly meets Hiraku, her biological father, who offers her his umbrella.
