A Condition Called Love episode 3 recap
The episode starts where the previous one left off, with Hananoi holding Hotaru’s face and fainting. The latter then rushes to call his grandma on the phone. Stunned by his feelings for her, she wonders if she can feel that way for anyone.
On Christmas Eve, she couldn’t help but worry for Hananoi as she re-read the message she had repeatedly sent him. She ruminates if her apathy had made him give up, as it was the final day of their trial date. Hotaru arrives at the roller rink to cheer for her sister. After leaving the auditorium, she notices some messages from Hananoi. He arrives at the venue sweating, telling her he had visited four other venues before finding this place.
He asks Hotaru’s family for permission to take her out and promises to return her. They go to the park, where the lights provide an exquisite glow. Hananoi then orders various foods, which excites her as she has always wanted to try them. While skating, he tells Hotaru why he likes her, which makes her blush. After the light goes out, he picks her up and wishes her a happy birthday. Overwhelmed with emotions, she embraces him, telling him if she ever falls in love, she hopes it will be him.
