The Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf episode 3 was titled “Port Town and Sweet Temptation.” It started with Holo and Lawrence reaching the Port Town of Pazzio, where Lawrence planned to meet Zheren. Holo demands to eat apples in the town, for which Lawrence gives her a silver coin.
Later, Lawrence and Holo arrive at the Milone Trading Company, where the merchant bargains to sell marten fur pelts. Although Lawrence manages to settle for a decent price, Holo chimes in with her witty negotiation. Moreover, she insists that the fur pelts are special because they have a fruity smell. Hence, with Holo’s help, Lawrence finally gets 210 silver coins for the fur pelts.
Eventually, Lawrence and Holo meet Zheren, and the rookie merchant explains the entire currency fiasco. Finally, Lawrence promises to sign a contract with Zheren. Following the meeting with Zheren, Lawrence explains the currency matters to Holo, which bores her.
