Gods Game We Play episode 1 recap
The episode starts with Fay, the world’s best apostle, returning to the Arcane Court after his six-month leave. He searches for the red-haired girl who taught him everything about games and how to enjoy them.
Upon arrival, the chief secretary welcomes him to the bureau and briefs him on his next assignment. She also introduces him to Leoleshea, a former goddess with whom he has been tasked to watch and assist.
The goddess, who had been searching for the strongest player, quickly challenged Fay to a game. His honesty and love of games won over Leoleshea. She then explains her circumstances, why she isn’t a goddess, and her need to win games. Fay, who had won three straight games in a row, was a talented player she hadn’t seen in years. Moreover, he was her ideal partner. The episode ends with Fay agreeing to help and the duo heading towards their first game.
