The first season of Shangri-La Frontier was recently concluded. While there was no confirmation for the second season shortly after, a new visual and promotional video was released by the studio on Sunday, March 31, 2024. In good news for fans, the upcoming season will be released this October. Moreover, the anime’s season 2 will run for two cours.

Shangri-La Frontier season 2 is scheduled for the Fall 2024 anime lineup. Similar to the first season, the episodes will be divided into two cours for the upcoming season. Furthermore, Crunchyroll has also confirmed on its official site that it will stream season 2.
As mentioned earlier, a new visual was released featuring characters like Sunraku, Arthur Pencilgon, Psyger-0, Emul, and Oikatzo. The characters seem high-spirited, and a thumbs-up signifies the celebration theme.
The production staff also streamed a new promotional teaser. The short clip starts with a fight sequence featuring Sunraku overwhelming Wezaemon the Tombguard. The preview shows glimpses of the hidden truth behind the manifold mysteries of the Shangri-La Frontier Game. Moreover, some scenes touch on the relationship between Sunraku and Lycagon the Nightslayer.
Toshiyuki Kubooka at C2C supervised the series’ first season alongside Hiroki Ikeshita as the assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu wrote the scripts for the first season and will likely resume the role for the upcoming season. Ayumi Kurashima, the chief animation director, handled the character designs, with MONACA composing the soundtrack.
