The Banished Former Hero cast, plot & more
The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases is based on Shin Kozuki’s light novel series of the same name. It follows the tale of Allen, the fallen noble who is kicked out for his inability to use his powers. However, unknown to many, Allen was a hero in his past life, making him stronger than most normal people. With his life now in his hands, Allen decides to live for himself.
But this is easier said than done. Due to his past life as a hero, Allen does turn his back on anyone who needs him—a trait that does more harm than good in his current life.
The anime boasts a stellar cast, with Shouta Aoi taking on the role of Allen, Minami Kurisaka as Riese, and Akari Kitō as Anriette. Aimi will reportedly perform the ending song, “Meritocracy,” while Aoi will contribute to the opening song, “Evolve.” At the helm of the series is Kazuomi Koga, who will direct the anime at Studio DEEN, and Marvy Jack.
