The official staff of The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor released a promotional teaser for the anime series on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. The video provides many details regarding the main cast and previews their voices. This year, J.C. Staff will release the anime, adapted from the light novel by Japanese author Sarasa Nagase and illustrator Mitsuya Fuji.

Shu Uchida voices Jill Cervel, the heroine of The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor. Also, Kikunosuke Toya voices the character of Hadis Teos Rave, the Crown Prince. At the same time, the anime teaser gives an insight into the plot. Notably, the staff have shared comments from both voice actors.
Uchida expressed her excitement towards the role. She also opened up about reading the original story several times after getting the offer. To her, the bond between Hadis and Jill is captivating. Speaking of Hadis, Kikunosuke Toya promised the audience he would play the role with extra vigilance.
The plot of the series revolves around Jill, who is sentenced to death by her fiance, Hadis. Just before her death, she finds herself transported six years ahead, standing at the party where her engagement is to be decided. Although a popular trope, The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor gives the protagonists a chance to live their lives differently. As Jill attempts to change the threads of her destiny, she hopes to develop a bond with the person who was previously her nemesis.
