According to the Blue Lock chapter 255 spoilers and leaks, the upcoming installment is titled “Still Burning.” After Kunigami charges the ball away from Shidou with a head pass in the previous chapter, Ness acquires the ball, which he soon charges at Grimm.
Grimm passes the ball to Kaiser, but Shidou and Kunigami’s obstruction leads it to Raichi. In a move that impresses Hiori, Charles steals the ball and avoids passing it to Rin, tricking Isagi. Then, he passes the ball back to Shidou, urging Isagi’s belief that Shidou has control over the field.
However, Kunigami, once again, blocks Shidou’s path, impressing Charles, Hiori, and Isagi. The latter analyzes the situation to understand that Kunigami’s impressive defense has less to do with his position and physique and more with his desire to avenge Shidou. Hence, Isagi concludes that Kunigami hasn’t changed much since his time in Team Z and that he is a Self Type player.
As expected, Kunigami’s continuous obstruction frustrates Shidou. Isagi, taking advantage of the situation, seeks Kunigami’s help with a new plan. He proposes to use the best x best x best tri-flow team-up involving Kunigami, Hiori, and himself. According to the spoilers, the chapter concludes with this strategy.

Blue Lock chapter 254 recap: Kunigami vs. Shidou takes center stage
In Blue Lock chapter 254, titled “Self Type/World Type,” the plot revolved around Isagi’s psychological analysis of the players. Moreover, other major incidents included the Bastard Munchen changing their formation and Kunigami having an on-field face-off against Shidou.
In a strategic move following Shidou’s goal, the Bastard Munchen changed their formation from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1. Hence, Kunigami took a position as the Defensive Midfielder beside Raichi, leaving Kaiser as the sole striker.
The chapter then highlighted Nanase and Tokimitsu talking about assisting Rin to make him the hero. After everyone takes a position, the match between Paris X Gen and Bastard Munchen continues, and the focus shifts to Isagi’s inner monologue on how to give his best shot along with Hiori.
According to Isagi’s analysis, players could be divided into Self-Type and World-Type. In his head, Self-Type players, like Shidou and Bachira, played with a self-fulfilling intent. Conversely, players like Karasu and Hiori, who played while catering to the team and their environment, were World-Type players. Isagi believed that he needed to figure out which type of ego would work the best on the field and adapt to the same.
Later, Ness misses the ball that Zantetsu had passed to him, and Hiori steals it to no avail. Charles steals the ball and passes it to Shidou. However, Kunigami obstructs Shidou’s way to avenge the latter for Kenigami’s elimination earlier in Blue Lock’s selection.
Kunigami charges the ball with a head pass and confronts Shidou about ruining his life. Shidou fails to recognize Kunigami, but this powerful interaction prepares readers for an upcoming confrontation between the two.
