Ninja Kamui episode 6 was released on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12 a.m. ET. After its original premiere on Adult Swim, the episode was available to stream worldwide on Max. The latest episode, titled “Cheap Thrills For A Tiny Man,” unraveled several mysteries the series held.
The episode starts with Lil already in action to catch the traitor. Using code words, he asks his secret agents to trail Higan and the betrayer. Soon enough, Higan wakes up with wires attached to him as he lay underwater.
The mysterious benefactor reveals herself to be none other than Aska. She is also the FBI agent and Morris’s partner, Emma. Although fans had already suspected that she was behind Aska’s mask, Emma revealed that she was the one who guided Higan over the phone to help him seek revenge and infiltrate Auza City.
Emma clarifies that Morris is unaware of the situation and has no part in it. She also reveals that Yamaji’s corporate ninja team initially sent her to keep an eye on Higan and his secret art.
Ninja Kamui episode 6: Who is Emma Samanda?
Emma Samanda informs Higan that he could not survive against the ninjas in suits by merely using his secret art. Also, among other revelations, she tells him that she saved him to fulfil a personal goal. With this, she unveils a mecha suit for Higan. Known as the Gusoku gear, it has the potential to save him from death as he fights other ninjas. The scene then cuts to Yamaji, who is informed that Aska, aka Emma, stole the suit from the corporate ninjas.
Emma explains that the high-grade combat suit combines shinobi techniques with modern technology. Though she is confident about the suit’s integrity, it is yet to be fully developed. Meanwhile, Higan expresses concern over the ninjas finding them out soon.
Elsewhere, Morris wakes up to a panicking Jason Cardenas after a ten-day-long coma and realizes that the FBI is after him. On the other hand, to Emma’s disappointment, the Gusoku gear fails to function properly.
Ninja Kamui episode 6 ending, explained
A flashback unites Higan with Mari, where she tells him about her ninja philosophy of “fire and ice.” While Yamaji’s team fails to track Emma and Higan, the former informs her companion about the upgraded version of the Gusoku gear. Known as the Kamui, it works according to the user’s thoughts. It taps into the consciousness of its wearer and functions in the desired manner. In short, Kamui gives its user an edge over one’s adversaries.
Emma further reveals that the night Higan’s family was killed, it was she who saved him. An enraged Higan attacks Emma, asking her why she did not save his wife and son. This is when Lil finds Emma and Higan, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown.
As Emma and Lil engage in a battle wearing their respective suits, Emma is pushed to the verge of death. Though the episode does not confirm the same, the scene directly shifts to Higan, who listens to Emma’s recording that she had conveyed into his subconsciousness in case she died.
In the audio clip, Emma confesses that she stayed in touch with Mari without Higan knowing because Mari had saved her life in the past. On the night of the attack, she had arrived too late to save Mari and Ren, and her only option was to rescue Higan. Upon listening to the recording, Higan’s outrage activates the Kamui, preparing fans for an action-loaded episode the following week.
