My Instant Death Ability episode 9 recap
The episode starts with Sion visiting Aoi, who suffers severe mental damage after her run-in with Yogiri. Meanwhile, Takato and Dannoura gather in the palace alongside their classmates, where they receive the quest from the king. The latter orders them to clear the five levels of the Underworld to advance as sages.
Takata and Dannoura meet their classmates, who are shocked to discover they have survived independently. Although there is initial doubt about accepting them into the group, Sora Akino, the group leader, vouches for them. The duo is then joined by Carol and Ninomiya, who are instructed to watch Yogiri on orders from the agency. After realizing they can be killed, they decide to team up with them.
The episode then focuses on Yogiri and his classmates clearing the levels of the Underworld. There is also a shocking reunion with Rick and David, who serve as guides for the Sage candidates.
Elsewhere, Shinozaki, who was revived from the dead, appears in a bar where a few of her classmates are and murders Ushio. She plans to kill all her classmates as revenge for abandoning her. The episode ends with Haruto visiting Sion and asking for an extension on their quest. Sion promises to agree to his request if he can eliminate Yogiri.
