Momochi House Episode 8 Recap
The episode starts with Himawari confessing her feelings for Aoi. However, she is rejected as he says he doesn’t see her that way. Ise and Yukari try to cheer her up, but only makes it worse. They then discover the seals aren’t working, causing the Hyakusenke to overflow with demons.
Meanwhile, Aoi has been in a mysterious slump for the past few days, causing a surprise visit from Neko-Grandma. She is a giant cat demon who cared for Aoi when he was younger. Hearing about his slump, she comes to cheer him up and helps catch the loose demons in the house. She comes with several pictures of Ayakashi royalty to get Aoi married so he can become a full demon.
After hearing Himawari has feelings for Aoi, Neko-Grandma forces her to do chores. She also sends her on a wild goose chase for her lost pipe. Aoi offers to help her find it; Himawari then discovers Aoi has no memories of his time before Momochi House. Himawari can cheer Aoi up with a surprise handmade hotpot dinner.
After deciding Aoi was in the best of hands, Neko Grandma decides to leave. Before leaving, she gives Himawari a cherry lantern capable of lighting the truth, but only once. The episode ends with Himawari trying to find information on the Nanamori House.
