The anime series is based on author Kochi Tachibana and illustrator Tsunako’s light novel, Date A Live. Fans much anticipated the upcoming season, so it will continue from where season 4 concluded its journey.
Date A Live season 5 release date, plot, and more
On Thursday, February 15, 2024, the official staff of Date A Live season 5 revealed a promotional video to reveal the release window of the series, which is April 2024. However, a particular release date wasn’t announced, so fans will have to wait until the production team makes any further announcements. However, it’s confirmed that the anime will have 12 episodes for the upcoming season.
The clip featured several characters with whom fans are already familiar. It also introduced a new character named Mio Takamiya. The video starts with the voice of Shido Itsuka in the background as he narrates how he and Mana lost their old memories.
He also explains that he’ll rewrite history by sealing the power of the Spirit of Origin. The clip then features stellar fight sequences and the opening theme song by Miyu Tomita, Paradoxes, playing in the background. The popular J-pop group Sweet ARMS will perform the ending theme, Hitohara, for the upcoming series season. However, fans couldn’t hear it as the preview didn’t feature it.
Fans also got a new key visual of Date A Live along season 5 with the promotional video. The illustration features Kurumi, Origami, Tooka, and others fighting in their spirit costumes, with the lead hero—Shido Itsuka—looking ahead.
