Bucchigiri?! episode 5 recap
In Bucchigiri?! episode 5 begins as Matakara arrives at Shindo’s NG Boys hub. After a brief confrontation with Shindo, Matakara loses, and Shindo eventually locks him up in a dark chamber. When Arajin visits Matakara in the chamber, a flashback reveals why he treats the latter so poorly. When the two were kids, many older boys bullied Matakara and Arajin for training to transform into Honki.
Though Matakara stood his ground, the bullies eventually beat him up. Meanwhile, Arajin, feeling helpless, fled away, leaving his friend alone. As far as theorizing goes, it could be due to the guilt and remorse that Arajin had been carrying all this while making him awkward and misbehave in front of Matakara.
Later, the episode also reveals Shindo’s shared past with Kenichiro from Minato Kai. Shindo felt humiliated after an incident while he was a part of the group, and that’s when he decided to cause Kenichiro’s downfall.
Through his manipulation and using Mahoro as bait, upon arriving at the conflict spot between Minato Kai and Siguma, Shindo confirms that Arajin has Senya with him. At the same time, Matakara and Zabu arrive and reveal to the two groups that Shindo had ignited this war.
