The Witch and the Beast: Everything you need to know
Kōsuke Satake’s manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Young Magazine, back in 2016. It later moved to the Monthly Young Magazine in 2021. It has been one year since the manga went on a break. Crunchyroll hosted the anime’s world premiere at Anime NYC convention, held on November 17, 2023.
Crunchyroll streams The Witch and the Beast anime, and summarizes the plot in the following manner:
“Guideau is a young woman who was cursed by a witch, forced to carry a dark secret. Ashaf is a tall, soft-spoken man with a coffin strapped to his back and secrets yet untold. Together they venture across the land on their quest for vengeance. Appearances can be deceiving, and each step could be their last. In a dark fantasy filled with adventure, will unlikely heroes find the vengeance they seek?”
The Witch and the Beast anime debuted on January 11, 2024, and has become a viral sensation since then in just two episodes. Episodes of the anime are broadcast every week on TBS and BS11 networks in Japan. Crunchyroll concurrently streams the anime’s subtitled version for international audiences.
