After a long period of wait, fans were finally met with the delight of watching the much-anticipated Solo Leveling in animation on January 6, 2024. Fans from all across the globe got the opportunity to hear the Solo Leveling voice actors portraying their characters for the first time. This was probably one of the biggest additions to the Winter 2024 season.
As the voice actors performed the roles of their characters, fans noticed that they had heard the voices before. The reason behind this was that the Solo Leveling cast boasts some of the industry’s finest talents. So, here is a walkthrough of the voice actors and where they’ve contributed before.
Solo Leveling voice actors and their other works
Sung Jin-Woo is the protagonist of Solo Leveling, and Taito Ban has lent his voice to this character. His prior works include Soyuz in Dr. Stone and Kurou Kumogakure in Under Ninja. Coming to another main cast, Reina Ueda is voicing Cha Hae-In. She has previously voiced Lemon Irvine in MASHLE: Magic and Muscles and Kanao Tsuyuri in Demon Slayer. She is also part of another major anime as Reze’s voice in Chainsaw Man Movie: Reze Arc.
Hiroki Touchi is the voice of Yoo Ho-Baek. Touchi has previously worked as Ging Freecss in Hunter x Hunter and Kuugo Ginjou in Bleach. Alongside him is Hirakawa Daisuke as Jong-In Choi. His other prominent works include Enmu in Demon Slayer and Frankenstein in Noblesse.
Furthermore, Banjou Ginga and Dani Chambers are voicing Gun-Hee Go and Joohee Lee, respectively. The former has worked on projects like Isaac Netero in Hunter x Hunter and Yosaku in Toriko. The latter has been part of the Spy x Family cast as Becky Blackbell’s voice and The Ancient Magus’ Bride cast as Chise Hatori.
Junya Enoki is voicing Byung Gyu-min, and Haruna Mikawa is voicing the role of Jin-Ah Sung. Junya Enoki has worked on many renowned projects. Some of them are Jujutsu Kaisen’s Yuji Itadori’s voice, Tokyo Revengers’ Seishuu Inui, and TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You’s Nasa Yuzaki. Furthermore, Haruna Mikawa has previously voiced Sakuya in Heavenly Delusion and Pikachu in Pokemon Evolutions.
Solo Leveling: More supporting cast detail
Solo Leveling voice actors are also joined by Makoto Furukawa, Genta Nakamura, and Takuma Terashima as the voices of Jin-Chul Woo, Jin-Ho Yoo, and Eunseok, respectively.
Interestingly, Makoto Furukawa has contributed to major projects, such as Tabito Karasu in Blue Lock, Taiju Ooki in Dr. Stone, and Miyuki Shirogane in Kaguya-sama: Love is War. He will also join Ash in the upcoming movie Code Geass: Dakkan no Rozé.
Genta Nakamura has previously voiced Hiroto Shinohara in Liar Liar and Miskeso in Made in Abyss. Additionally, he is also part of Fluffy Paradise’s cast as the voice of Dan Yates, a newly released anime.
Finally, Takuma Terashima is the voice of Atsushi Sendou in Tokyo Revengers, Eita Semi in Haikyuu!!, and Matsuboshi Raidou in Aharen-san wa Hakarenai. He is also set to voice Leonhart Saijou in The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 and Ryuu Sasakura in Bartender: Glass of God. Both of these anime are set for Spring 2024.
