Jewelry Bonney is a member of the pirates from the Worst Generation. She appeared for the first time in the Sabaody Archipelago arc, along with the rest of the Supernovas. Bomney appeared to be one of the less essential characters during her introduction. However, this image changed as the story progressed. The One Piece fans got to see a tiny glimpse of Bonney’s abilities in Sabaody.
Jewelry Bonney’s Devil Fruit: Toshi Toshi no Mi
It was shown that Bonney was able to alter the age of the Marines who wanted to trap her. They were turned into kids and old people by Bonney. This made them incapable of holding a fight against her. The actual nature and abilities of her Devil Fruit weren’t revealed till later on in the series. The Mangaka decided that it was better to keep it hidden. However, in the SBS 107 of One Piece, the author unveiled the name of Bonney’s Devil Fruit.
Bonney possesses a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit called the Toshi Toshi no Mi, allowing her to manipulate the ages of objects and people. The conditions to activate the power are pretty straightforward. Bonney’s hands need to make contact with the object or person. Being so simple to use, it has pros and cons. Her powers might be heavily mighty against unsuspecting foes, but those who are aware of Bonney’s powers are fine with dodging her attacks.
Toshi Toshi no Mi can be awakened like every other Devil Fruit. But Bonney still hasn’t mastered her powers yet, so her chances of awakening the Fruit are highly improbable. The user must endure years of hardships and intense training to awaken a Devil Fruit. Characters with Awakened Devil Fruits are extremely strong. Since Bonney mainly utilizes the powers of her Devil Fruit to get out of trouble, it implies that Bonney is not an Awakened Devil Fruit user.
