Rascal Does Not Dream anime held a New Year special livestream on January 14, 2024, where the first promotional clip for the University Arc was revealed. Fans have been highly anticipating this arc to get adapted into anime. It was the anime voice actors Kaito Ishikawa, Yurika Kubo, and Asami Seto who unveiled the preview.
Rascal Does Not Dream is adapted from the light novel series by author Hajime Kamoshida and illustrator Keiji Mizoguchi. There are 13 volumes in the novel, which were published by the Dengeki Bunko imprint.

It was previously announced that Rascal Does Not Dream anime will adapt the University Arc. However, the first trailer came out on Sunday, January 14, 2024, during a New Year special live stream. The anime’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle shared it later.
As mentioned earlier, it was the voice actors from the anime included Kaito Ishikawa (Sakuta Azusagawa), Yurika Kubo (Kaede Azusagawa), and Asami Seto (Mai Sakurajima), who shared the promotional video with the fans.
It can be seen in the trailer that Mai Sakurajima is standing in front of an institution on a clear day with sun rays tracing on her. Sakura petals could be seen falling from the trees. The video then spans over to highlight Mai sitting on a desk wearing a white dress.
The promotional teaser perfectly depicts the mood with the flute-laced OST playing in the background. It excites the anticipation for the release of the anime’s University arc.
However, there has yet to be any information regarding the series’ release date, additional cast, staff, or other details from the staff present during the live stream or the production themselves.
