Solo Leveling is one of the most anticipated series debuting in 2024. The series recently dropped preview images for their first episode, focusing on Jinwoo and his deadly situation in the dungeon. Even though there hasn’t been any official confirmation about the total episode count, Solo Leveling will air in two separate cours.

Since the series revealed an official release date for the first episode, fans won’t have to wait long to see their beloved Jinwoo in action. Crunchyroll has recently confirmed that the first episode of Solo Leveling will officially premiere on Saturday, January 6, 2024. The series will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.
The preview images feature Jinwoo with a disturbed expression on his face. As the protagonist of the series, he will become extremely powerful later on. Thus, the first episode will trace through the beginning of his action-packed and thrilling journey.
The first episode will see strong hunters bullying Jinwoo, an underdog. Moreover, the teaser images suggest that the first episode will end as soon as the double-ranked dungeon is triggered.
Fans got the first trailer for this series in July 2022, and it created much hype among fans who claimed that Solo Leveling will break the internet. Afterward, Crunchyroll released the third trailer in March 2023 to maintain the hype until January 2024.
As it is, the latest trailer dives into Jinwoo’s demise, only to show his second awakening. Stronger than ever and with an upper hand over every other hunter, viewers will see the prime Jinwoo unfolding in the first season of the anime.
Solo Leveling’s premiere is almost here, and as mentioned earlier, the series will run for two cours. From the split cour, the total number of episodes is estimated to be around 23 and 25. However, an official count of the episodes will be revealed later.
As for the series itself, the setting of Solo Leveling is interesting. In their world, certain objects called “Gates” connect their world with a different dimension. Amidst this, a certain group of people, aka “Hunters,” awaken their supernatural powers. These individuals make a living by utilizing their powers to conquer dungeons inside the gates.
The story traces the life of a low-ranked hunter named Sung Jinwoo, or the “weakest hunter of all mankind.” One eventful day changes Jinwoo’s entire life as he runs into high-rank double dungeons hidden within a low-rank dungeon. Awakening a unique ability that allows him to level up, Jinwoo decides to become the strongest of them all.
