The official website of Kingdom released a new promotional teaser for the upcoming season on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. The video hints towards the long-anticipated battle of Koku You Hills. Fans will be able to see the Kan Ki army in action against the Zhao armies.
The previous season, season 4 of the series, concluded, and fans got announcements regarding the renewal in October 2022. The anime is scheduled to be released on January 7, 2024.
Kingdom Season 5 release window, cast, and more
The official sources of the official website of Kingdom anime revealed the first promotional video trailer for the upcoming season 5 on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. It is clear from the trailer that the upcoming series will be focusing on the Koku You Campaign Arc.
The video trailer picks up from where Ai’s rebellion concluded. Qin is preparing for another campaign, and its primary motive is to take control of the Koku You Hills.
It is a strategic field for both the armies, Qin and Zhao. Ei Sei dispatches Shin and the Hi Shin unit to support the campaign leader, General Kan Ki, and his army to defeat the Zhao armies.
The Kan Ki army is prepared to shred through anything that dares come in their path. They’re planning to gain control over all the five hills. To retaliate, Ri Boku, a member of the Three Great Heavens of Zhao and the leader of the Ri Boku Army, is ready to dispatch Deputy Kei Sha and 40,000 Zhao soldiers to help reinforce the area along with Rigan’s 30,000 troops.
The upcoming series will introduce several new characters. They’ll play a crucial role in the plot, so fans can look forward to them.
There will also be returning characters set to appear in the upcoming season. Some of the characters that fans will see in the upcoming season include Kan Ki, Koku’ou, Raido, Ma Ron, Na Ki, Rin Gyoku, Zenou, and Ki Sui.
