Goku and Vegeta vs. Kid Buu
The Buu Saga is considered one of the worst arcs in Dragon Ball Z. However, that doesn’t mean it can’t have spectacular fight sequences. Goku and Vegeta’s final battle with Kid Buu is considered the best battle of the entire franchise. Keeping aside their differences, both of them join forces to defeat Kid Buu. As much as their teamwork should be appreciated, the battle show how much the Saiyans’ relationship has grown since the beginning of Dragon Ball Z.
Goku and Piccolo vs. Raditz
Raditz appears at the beginning of the Saiyan Invasion Saga. He is a space-faring mercenary who claims to be Goku’s long lost brother. As his sibling, Raditz is an excellent fighter, and he makes short work of the Z Fighters in their preliminary encounters.
Using Gohan as ransom, Raditz pushes Goku and Piccolo to work together to defeat the alien invader. Both of these characters were known by each other’s mortal enemies, but this progression in their dynamics was fascinating to watch. Moreover, Goku’s sacrifice during the fight is even more bittersweet by comparison.

Dragon Ball Z’s core narrative revolves around the rivalry between Goku and Vegeta. This implies that every time they fight each other, fans see some incredible battle sequences! However, as mentioned earlier, the pair later joined forces in the Buu Saga and left their bad blood in the past.

Super Saiyan transformation was nothing more than a myth at this point of the story. Goku steps upon the planet Namek. As the arc progresses, his friends are killed off gradually, which serves as the catalyst for igniting his legendary transformation. His battle with Frieza thus ushers Dragon Ball Z into the new era.
