Roshidere New Key Visuals Released

Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, commonly known as Roshidere, is an adorable rom-com story. The premise of the story is not specifically different from other rom-com light novels out there, but what makes it interesting is its well-written characters. They are immersive, which makes the reader connect with them in a certain way. Fans are pretty thrilled since this series is getting an anime adaptation.

The Alya Birthday Fest 2023 Special Live Stream program unveiled the first key visual and character visuals for the story. The tweet above contains the link to a short clip called Alya’s Birthday video. The series is set to debut in April 2024.

The official X (Formerly Twitter) account of the series released a new key visual of the upcoming anime. They’ve also revealed the broadcast window for Roshidere. The anime series will be a high school-based rom-com, and who doesn’t love young love? The romantic comedy is set to arrive on your screen in Spring 2024, specifically in April 2024.

Ryota Ito is directing the upcoming anime. He is also responsible for directing the first episode of Oshi no Ko, the highest-rated episode ever in anime. Roshidere is also produced by the same studio that produced Oshi no Ko, studio Doga Kobo.

The image in the tweet features the male lead and female lead of the series. Kohei Amasaki is lending his voice to the character of Masachika Kuze and Sumire Uesaka is doing the same for the character Alya.

The author and illustrator of the original Roshidere light novel are Sunsunsun and Momoco, respectively. The publishing right for the title is with Kadokawa Shoten in Japan under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint. Yen Press distributes the English version of the novel.

The official synopsis of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian describes the series as, “Alya-san, who sits next to Masachika Kuze, always gives him the cold shoulder. However, she sometimes blurts out a few flirtatious words to him in Russian. Masachika never misses a word of it. That’s because Masachika has native-level Russian listening skills! Alya-san thinks he doesn’t understand and sometimes yells out words of affection. Masachika understands the meaning but pretends not to. Where will their love story, which keeps you grinning, take them!?”
