Burn the Witch #0.8 anime TV trailer was officially released recently by the official website of Burn the Witch. Along with a trailer, the website also revealed a new key visual for the anime.
While Burn the Witch #0.8 is an independent series and is originally a prequel to the movie of the same name, otakus have been wondering if it has any connection to mangaka Tite Kubo’s magnum opus, Bleach. This speculation rose because of the teaser toward the end of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War episode 9, following which a short trailer for the new anime TV was released. Moreover, Kubo’s involvement added to the guesswork.

Despite sharing the same universe, premise, and author, the two anime are independent of each other. That is to say, viewers don’t need to watch Bleach to understand Burn the Witch #0.8. The new anime TV will feature how protagonists Noel and Ninny met.
The staff and cast members were announced on the website. Moreover, the theme song of the show, titled “Prove” by NiL, was also released.
Burn the Witch Prequel Anime release date on TV Tokyo
Fans are looking forward to the new show and are demanding a full anime series this time. With the two witches taking up the main screen, the previously released movie received much appreciation. Thus, to gush over the upcoming prequel is quite natural.
However, fans have to wait for about two more months for the release of the new show. Burn the Witch #0.8 anime is set to premiere on December 29, 2023, on TV Tokyo for the viewers in Japan. However, a worldwide release has also been confirmed. Given that the movie aired on Crunchyroll, the most probable platform for the latest release will also be Crunchyroll.
