The Apothecary Diaries Anime To Get An Extended Premiere

The Apothecary Diaries is all set to release, and the good news for the otakus is that it will get an extended premiere.

TOHO Animation Studio and OLM, the production houses of the anime TV adaptation for The Apothecary Diaries, bear the good news. As per the official website post, three successive episodes will be aired following the show’s premiere this October.

Along with releasing a brand new key visual which features Maomao and Jinshi, the show committed to air two seasons. Natsu Hyuga’s famous novel series with the same name promises drama and mystery. And, the fans naturally have high expectations from the anime.

The Apothecary Diaries manga to anime adaptation: What to expect?

The anime is directed by Norihiro Naganuma, who also directed The Ancient Magus’ Bride, with assistant direction by Akinori Fudesaka at TOHO Animation STUDIO and OLM. His involvement has kept the fans betting on this anime.

The protagonist of The Apothecary Diaries is Maomao, who lives a peaceful life with her father. But, one day she is kidnapped and sold to the royal palace. Troubles are bestowed upon her as she must comply and serve at the palace. But, having an experience with medicine helps her grab the attention of a palace official. The fans who loved the manga series of The Apothecary Diaries are gushing, and rightfully so. It will be worth watching how Aoi Yuki adds life to the protagonist and gives us another character to behold in our hearts.
