Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced on Thursday that it would be releasing the anime film The Concierge theatrically in North America next year.
When will The Concierge release in North America?
The film is an adaptation of Tsuchika Nishimura’s The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store and just recently made its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Its North American premiere occurred at the Fantasia International Film Festival, and a North American theatrical run is set to occur sometime in 2024 following the film’s premiere in Japan on October 20, 2023.

“Akino is a trainee concierge at the Hokkyoku Department Store, an unusual department store that caters exclusively to animals,” reads the official synopsis of the film. “Under the watchful eyes of the floor manager and senior concierges, Akino runs around to fulfill the wishes of customers with a myriad of needs and problems in her pursuit to become a full-fledged concierge.”
