What is Seirei Gensouki Season 2’s release window?
The isekai anime series will return in 2024, though a specific release date has not been announced yet.
The series’ first season aired in 2021 and ran on BS Fuji in Japan and Crunchyroll internationally. TMS Entertainment animated the first season and will return for the sequel along with most of the anime’s staff.
The second season was announced in November of 2021, although there have been no significant progress updates until now. In addition, J-Novel Club is releasing both the original light novels and the manga adaptations as a complement to the anime.
What is Seirei Gensouki?
Seirei Gensouki is a series of novels written by Yuri Kitayama that ran from 2014 to 2020. The novels saw ten volumes and several light novel and manga adaptations.
Protagonist Haruto Amakawa is a young man that dies before reuniting with his childhood friend. However, he is rebon in the body of a boy named Rio in a fantasy world and decides to do his best in this reality. Haruto and Rio combine their personalities and memories to become one person in the process.
Rio discovers a new, special power as he gains Haruto’s memories that helps him live a better life. He also finds himself involved in the kidnapping of the two princesses of the Beltrum Kingdom.
