Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 15 Recap

Arnheid goes to the retainers’ quarters to tend to Gardar’s wounds. Snake tells Arnheid she can’t see Gardar and leaves her with one of his men to take her back. However, Arnheid pleads with the man, and he lets her see him. Gardar apologizes to Arnheid, and she starts crying and saying sorry. One of the men tells Arnheid she needs to leave, but Gardar bites his throat and kills him. He then tells Arnheid to cut off the ropes. Snake and the others start looking for them, ready to kill Gardar.

In the morning, Einar and Thorfinn talk about dreaming of a world without war and slavery. Thorfinn mentions how Norse men take pride in fighting and winning battles. He also mentions how he’s constantly haunted by all the people he killed. He wants to atone for his sins and talks about untouched land beyond the sea. Suddenly, Snake’s men start searching Thorfinn and Einar’s place. Thorfinn realizes that Gardar must have escaped, and Einar worries for Arnheid.
