Blue Lock Episode 8 Recap

Zantetsu calls Nagi out for leaving practice early. However, Reo believes Nagi doesn’t need to practice since he treats Nagi as his treasure. Reo recalls his past when he was bored with his life. There was nothing he wanted. Eventually, he finds soccer as the one thing he wants. However, his parents told him to give up and become a top businessman instead. At school, he bumps into Nagi, who just wants to relax and isn’t interested in doing anything. But Reo sees his talent and convinces him to play soccer with him.

Team Z decides to hold a strategy meeting. Raichi reminds them that he hasn’t forgiven Kuon for what he did. Isagi tells him they need him for the game against Team V. However, Kuon says he isn’t playing since he’s still the team’s top scorer. Shortly after, Ego appears on the screen and shows the team’s ranking. He explains that the best striker should be able to reproduce their goals and not rely on luck. He also says they need to find the formula that will help with scoring.

Isagi goes to Barou and asks how he can be more like him. Barou plays one-on-one with him, and Isagi analyzes Barou’s formula for scoring. Eventually, the game between Team Z and Team V begins. Team Z initially manages to steal the ball from Team V. Gagamaru has a chance to score a goal but misses. Reo tells Nagi they should try what Team Z did. The duo executes it effortlessly, and Nagi scores a goal.
