For their outdoor training exercise, Hana brings the class to an uninhabited island that used to serve as the village’s training grounds. Suddenly, Mimi’s dog, Kikuchiyo, gets injured from a trap. Sosha shares a rumor she heard about a killer Rogue Shinobi escaping to the island they’re currently in. Kawaki is doubtful since he noticed that the trap isn’t old. The other students see their food has been stolen, and Hana informs them no one is coming until tomorrow. Some of the students go out in threes to search for food. While Himawari, Osuka, and Neon gather food, they hear a noise. Neon uses her drone to inspect the area, but it suddenly gets destroyed.
Meanwhile, Kawaki continues to stay near Kae. After the incident with Kikuchiyo and Neon’s drone, Kawaki notices their searching abilities have been limited, so he tells everyone to stay together. At night, Kae asks if Kawaki’s still guarding her, and he tells her about his hunch that the issue isn’t entirely resolved. She thanks him and says she’ll return to the Land of Bamboo after the trip. Shortly after, Konashi shows up to have Kae and Kawaki try his latest creation.
Hana approaches Kae and asks if something’s wrong. Kae notices Hana’s flower arrangement is gone, and she invites her to look for it together. Meanwhile, Himawari and Kawaki discuss what happened to the drone. After reviewing the recording, Kawaki notices Wind Style flower petals at the corner of the screen. He pieces the incidents together, confirming the possibility that Hana’s the assassin. Meanwhile, Hana lures Kae into the forest. Himawari and Kawaki chase after them. They end up by a bridge, and Hana stabs Kae.
