While Hana is recovering in the hospital, Kawaki asks if she remembers anything about the culprit. She says her memory is still hazy due to her injuries. After that, Naruto and Shikamaru scold Kawaki for not immediately reporting information about the assassin. Naruto then removes Kawaki from the mission. Elsewhere, Batora tells Kae that her father wants her to return home. Kae thinks about her friends and the good times she spent with them.
Himawari motivates Kawaki to continue to investigate possible leads. They ask for Eiki’s help, and they go to Sosha to ask for her photos from the festival. Meanwhile, Kae thinks Kawaki is only friends with her for the sake of the mission. However, Batora thinks otherwise. He believes Kawaki wanted Kae to experience the school festival, which is why he didn’t immediately report the assassin. Himawari, Eiki, and Kawaki browse through Sosha’s photos. Himawari sees Batora in one of the photos, making Kawaki suspicious since they knew Batora didn’t plan on going.
