At the boys’ lounge, Ayanokoji, Hirata, and Yukimura discuss. Hirata shares to the group that Kushida told him she’s the VIP. Koenji approaches them, saying all they have to do is find the liar. Suddenly, they receive an email saying Group Saturn has finished their exam. Later on, Ayanokoji and Horikita meet up to talk. Ayanokoji tells Horikita he needs information on Karuizawa because he senses something odd about her. Horikita tells him it’s useless, but Ayanokoji reminds her of first impressions. Ayanokoji thinks about how Class D needs some semblance of unity to move forward.
Ryuuen appears and asks Horikita about her plan. Horikita ignores his advances, refusing to say anything. However, Ryuuen tells her he’s close to discovering the VIP. He also says there’s a possibility Class C could win by a landslide. Horikita doesn’t believe him, but Ayanokoji thinks it’s possible. Ryuuen suggests Class C, Class D, and Class B could team up, exchange information, and defeat Class A. Horikita doesn’t entertain the thought, and Ryuuen leaves.
After Ayanokoji and Horikita talk, Ayanokoji encounters Kushida. She leans on Ayanokoji’s chest after suddenly feeling lonely. She immediately apologizes and runs away. Meanwhile, the teachers are having a drink. They briefly talk about how Ayanokoji became a leader in the island exam. While walking, Ayanokoji overhears Karuizawa and Hirata’s conversation. He learns Karuizawa and Hirata were only pretending to be dating, and Hirata only agreed to the fake relationship to protect her.
Group Mars continues with their discussions, but they still have a stalemate. After the discussion, Manabe and the others follow Karuizawa and corner her. Ayanokoji and Yukimura follow behind, hiding from the girls. Eventually, Manabe and the others start attacking Karuizawa. Ayanokoji stops Yukimura from intervening so he can see how the situation unfolds.
