First up, and perhaps most exciting amongst the news, is that a brand new mainline Gundam TV anime series will launch for the first time since Iron-Blooded Orphans in 2015. The series — Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury — is currently in production, with no other release details or even information on the plot revealed.
Alongside the news of a new mainline series, a brand new anime film was also announced. Directed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer for the very first Mobile Suit Gundam series and creator of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, the newest film is titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island, and will launch sometime in 2022. According to the website, the film will be a “reimagining of the 15th episode of Mobile Suit Gundam.”

Finally, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans will be getting a nine-part television compilation release that is set to air in Spring 2022. The compilation will also feature a preview of Urðr-Hunt, a spin-off anime that is set to be released alongside the Iron-Blooded Orphans G game for mobile devices in Spring 2022.
