Funimation has announced that a handful of classic anime series will be making their way to the streaming platforms catalog, including several iterations of Lupin the 3rd.

Starting on September 14, 2021, users will be able to experience even more from the Lupin the 3rd series, alongside the sci-fi mecha classic God Mars, which will also be hitting Funimation in both the United States and Canada. The full list of series coming to the platform next week is as follows:

- Lupin the 3rd: Part 2
- Lupin the 3rd: Part 3
- Lupin the 3rd: Part 5
- Lupin the 3rd: 50th anniversary Special – Is Lupin Still Burning?

With Lupin the 3rd: Part 4 already streaming on Funimation, this means that the entirety of the Lupin television series is available to stream, making it a great time to dive into the series as a newcomer. The original Lupin the 3rd manga was created by Monkey Punch and has inspired five previous anime series, plus the spin-off Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine.

There have been multiple theatrical films including the critically acclaimed Castle of Cagliostro and over a dozen anime specials. The last anime in the series began in 2018 and was aired on Toonami in North America while also airing subtitled on Crunchyroll. The first anime adaptation debuted on October 24, 1971, with a Lupin the 3rd: Part 6 planned for release sometime later this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the series.
