Fans of the Tremors franchise were saddened to learn last month that Syfy had dropped plans for a TV series based on the films starring Kevin Bacon. Now the Tremors pilot trailer has hit the web, and it’s about as awesome as one would imagine. Check it out below!
Though the plot details were kept under wraps, the series was announced to be a continuation of the original film, returning the action to the small desert town of Perfection, Nevada where the graboid epidemic originated.
The 59-year-old Bacon, who was set to reprise his role as Valentine “Val” McKee, called the pilot that was shot “fantastic,” and that he is disappointed his dream of returning to Perfection will not come to fruition.
The Tremors pilot for the series was directed by Vincenzo Natali, director of Cube and Splice, and scripted by Andrew Miller, the creator of The CW’s The Secret Circle, and saw Bacon reprise his role for the first time since the first film, as well as Fred Ward reprising his role of Earl Bassett from the first two films, in addition to newcomers P.J. Byrne (Rampage), Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead) and Emily Tremaine (The Blacklist).
