The Final Trailer for A Quiet Place is Here!

A Quiet Place Sequel on the Way from Paramount!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures is planning to make A Quiet Place sequel after the first movie opened three weeks ago to outstanding box office returns, giving the beleaguered studio a much needed shot in the arm. Since opening in theaters on April 6, it has grossed over $213 million worldwide on a $17 million dollar budget.

“We’re already working with these guys on a sequel,” studio chairman-CEO Jim Gianopulos said.“If you told me five years ago that an almost silent film starring the very funny guy Jim from ‘The Office’ would have been a hit at Paramount, I would have said, ‘Well, I should go work at Paramount.'”

The film was directed by John Krasinski, who starred opposite his real-life wife Emily Blunt. Noah Jupe (Suburbicon, Wonder) and Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck) round out the cast.

In the modern horror thriller, a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival. If they hear you, they hunt you. The film has minimal dialogue, because silence is survival.

A Quiet Place is produced by Michael Bay (Transformers) and his Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (Ouija, The Purge, Texas Chainsaw Massacre), from a spec script by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck which was rewritten by Krasinski.
