Columbia Pictures’ Spider-Man: Homecoming has crossed the $300 million mark at the domestic box office, the studio announced today. The film, produced by Marvel Studios and Pascal Pictures, has taken in $682 million worldwide to date with key dates in Japan (today, Aug. 11) and China (Sept. 8) still to come. Spider-Man: Homecoming is the only the fourth film to join the 300 club this year.
Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland as the famous webcrawler, Spider-Man: Homecoming opened to $117 million on July 7 – the third-highest domestic opening of 2017. The film took in over $250 million worldwide on opening weekend.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is Sony Pictures’ fifth-highest-grossing film domestically of all time.
The sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming is slated for July 5, 2019.
