Mike Mitchell, who most recently directed Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, has signed on to helm Jitters at Paramount Pictures, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.
First announced back in 2009, Jitters is written by Marc Haimes and was described back then as a family film in the vein of Gremlins. It centers around a dysfunctional, recession-struck family that moves into a new neighborhood and is terrorized by superbugs.
