20th Century Fox is currently counting down the Thursday online launch of the trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus at iTunes Movie Trailers with daily teaser clips, but we’ve received word that you can actually see the trailer in theaters starting Tuesday night at 7 p.m. nationwide with David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!
It’s another case where one studio is debuting an anticipated trailer with another studio’s film, in this case Sony’s “Dragon Tattoo.” Last Friday, Warner Bros. also debuted the 6-minute prologue for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises with the IMAX premiere of Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.
Prometheus, starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green and Patrick Wilson, opens in theaters on June 8th and takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.
