Our Star Wars Celebration gallery has been updated with 99 shots from today’s panel
This morning, Lucasfilm‘s official 40 Years of Star Wars panel took the Galaxy Stage at this year’s Star Wars Celebration to reflect on 40 years of a galaxy far, far away. The original Star Wars: A New Hope was released on May 25, 1977. Following this morning’s livestream of the star-studded panel, Lucasfilm has released quite a few stills from the event. The 40 Years of Star Wars was hosted by Warwick Davis (Return of the Jedi, Willow) and featured Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and discussions with some of the saga’s brightest stars, highlighting the impact of the galaxy far, far away and the fandom that has propelled it for the last four decades. Among the panel’s guests were Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissan), Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) and Rebels Executive Producer Dave Filoni.
Star Wars Celebration Orlando is taking place at the Orange County Convention Center and will include appearances by Felicity Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), plus Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, Mark Hamill, and more!
