Susan Sarandon, Naomi Watts and Elle Fanning in the new trailer for 3 Generations
The Weinstein Company has released a brand-new poster and trailer for the upcoming film 3 Generations, starring Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise, Dead Man Walking), Naomi Watts (King Kong, Mulholland Drive) and Elle Fanning (Maleficent, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). The film tells the story of three generations of family living in the same house and a young trans man dealing with his transition. 3 Generations was directed by Gaby Dellal (On a Clear Day, Tube Tales) and written by Dellal and Nikole Beckwith. It was produced by Dellal, Dorothy Berwin, Marc Turtletaub and Peter Saraf.
Here is the official synopsis: “3 Generations tells the stirring and touching story of three generations of a family living under one roof in New York as they deal with the life-changing transformation by one that ultimately affects them all. Ray (Elle Fanning) is a teenager who has struggled with the body assigned to him at birth and is determined to start transitioning. His single mother, Maggie (Naomi Watts), must track down Ray’s biological father (Tate Donovan) to get his legal consent to allow Ray’s transition. Dolly (Susan Sarandon), Ray’s lesbian grandmother is having a hard time accepting that she now has a grandson. They must each confront their own identities and learn to embrace change and their strength as a family in order to ultimately find acceptance and understanding.”
3 Generations also stars Sam Trammell (True Blood, The Fault in Our Stars), Linda Emond (Julie & Julia, The Good Wife) and Tate Donovan (The Man in the High Castle, Good Night, and Good Luck.).
