Clint Eastwood looks to be planning a return to acting. Deadline reports that the legendary Hollywood talent will star in Trouble with the Curve, his first acting project since 2008’s Gran Torino.
The film, to be directed by Robert Lorenz, arrives from screenwriter Randy Brown and would feature Eastwood as a baseball scout who is losing his vision with his age. He and his daughter take a final road trip to Atlanta to check out a prospective talent.
Lorenz has been working with Eastwood as an assistant director as far back as The Bridges of Madison County. Trouble with the Curve would mark his full directing debut.
Eastwood, meanwhile, is about to release his latest directing project, J. Edgar, hitting theaters on November 9th.
