Logan’s James Mangold will take on Don Winslow’s The Force at 20th Century Fox
Although the book itself won’t get published until June, Don Winslow‘s upcoming novel The Force already has an adaptation in the works at 20th Century Fox. Today, Deadline reveals that the project has found a helmer in none other than Logan‘s James Mangold. Winslow famously spent years researching The Force from inside the NYPD. Mangold, meanwhile, previously explored New York law enforcement in 1997’s Cop Land.

Ridley Scott, who has been developing at feature film based on Winslow’s The Cartel, is producing The Force through his Scott Free Productions alongside Michael Schaefer. Winslow’s agent, The Story Factory’s Shane Salerno, is also set to produce.
