Oren Moverman has signed on to draft The Terrorist Search Engine for Sony Pictures, Deadline reports.
Originally planned for Jesse Eisenberg to headline, the film will adapt a New York Magazine article by Wesley Yang (which you can read in its entirety by clicking here) about Evan Francois Kohlmann, nicknamed “the Doogie Howser of Terrorism” for his efforts to utilize modern internet technology to bring terrorists to justice.
Moverman is responsible for scripts like I’m Not There. and Married Life, as well as The Messenger and the upcoming Rampart, both which he also directed. It is possible that he could wind up directing The Terrorist Search Engine as well, but there are no solid plans at this time.
